Job Title: Senior Seafood Operations Lead

Location: Jersey Shore

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced seafood professional to help lead daily operations at a high-volume seafood wholesale and fishery company. This role is responsible for overseeing production flow, supporting team performance, and ensuring orders are executed accurately and efficiently.

This is a leadership role for someone with deep seafood expertise who can guide a team, optimize processes, and maintain high standards across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily seafood production, including cutting, packing, and order execution
  • Lead and support production staff to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality
  • Coordinate across sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to meet delivery timelines
  • Review orders, cutting lists, and ensure proper execution from start to finish
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes as needed
  • Maintain strict quality control and food safety standards
  • Manage inventory flow, product availability, and communication with purchasing
  • Act as a key point of contact between departments (production, logistics, sales)
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output
  • Support customer needs, including special orders and high-priority accounts
  • Help drive wholesale growth through product knowledge and industry relationships
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in seafood production, wholesale, or related field
  • Strong expertise in seafood species, fabrication, quality, and handling
  • Proven ability to lead or guide teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Operational mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
