About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented assistant to manage Health & Safety and property compliance data for a London(UK)-based residential property management company. This role focuses on system and Excel-based administration, ensuring that tasks, risks, and reports are accurately tracked, updated, and completed on time.

You will work closely with property managers, contractors, and internal teams to maintain compliance, follow up on outstanding actions, upload documentation, and escalate issues as necessary. The role supports the smooth operation of Health & Safety and property compliance processes. This is a remote/hybrid role, suitable for candidates based in South Africa.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the compliance system and Excel trackers to ensure all tasks, risks, and reports are up to date.
  • Notify the team when services, inspections, or compliance requirements are due or overdue.
  • Follow up with responsible persons to obtain updates, evidence, or feedback for outstanding tasks and risks.
  • Load reports, certifications, and other compliance documentation into the system accurately and promptly.
  • Track and manage risks and tasks, ensuring each item is completed or updated with the necessary evidence.
  • Escalate unresolved tasks or risks.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties to source and obtain quotations where required.

Requirements:

  • Strong system and Excel skills.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong follow-up and communication skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Health and Safety awareness or willingness to learn.
  • Independent, proactive and able to work remotely.
  • Must reside within the Western Cape, within travelling distance to Stellenbosch.

Desirable

  • Experience in property management and/ or Health and Safety will be an advantage.
  • The ideal candidate should be familiar with Health & Safety compliance reporting systems or CRM platforms, and comfortable managing data, tracking tasks, and ensuring reports are up to date.

Additional Requirements

  • Reliable internet connection (50 Mbps minimum).
  • Willingness to attend a skill-based assessment if successful after the first interview.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary: R10,000 – R15,000/month (depending on experience).
  • Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 SA time (includes 60-minute lunch).
  • 15 days annual leave plus South African public holidays.
