About the Team

The Enterprise Solution Architect will join the IT PMO organization based in San Jose. This team focuses on driving innovation and excellence in data center and cloud infrastructure management, ensuring that all operational processes align with the overarching mission of enhancing efficiency and scalability at Nutanix. The culture within the team embraces collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, fostering an environment where every member can contribute to the team’s success and the company’s strategic objectives.

You will report to the Senior Manager, who is known for their collaborative and supportive leadership style. They prioritize open communication and encourage team members to take initiative while providing guidance and mentorship. This position is hybrid, requiring the hire to be in the office a few days a week to engage with the team effectively while also allowing flexibility for remote work.

There are no required travel obligations for this role, allowing the individual to focus on their responsibilities and initiatives within the San Jose office and in collaboration with remote teams.

Your Role

  • Lead the architectural design of the GPU-as-a-Service platform, ensuring seamless integration for R&D, QA, and Sales teams.
  • Develop and implement a centralized Data Center Asset Inventory system for real-time visibility and management of hardware assets.
  • Architect and manage Data Center infrastructure to ensure compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards while optimizing performance.
  • Drive the creation of a comprehensive Hardware Lifecycle Management strategy, including procurement, operationalization, and decommissioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide architectural guidance and oversight during project intake and execution.
  • Lead initiatives to address supply chain challenges, ensuring project timelines are met despite hardware limitations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and enhancements of security standards for Data Center hardware provisioning and network segmentation.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators to measure the success and efficiency of Data Center operations in the first year.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Center projects within an enterprise environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco, Dell, HPE, Supermicro hardware, and NVIDIA GPU architectures (H100, B200).
  • Extensive expertise in Data Center infrastructure and asset lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency with asset management and automation tools (Netbox, ServiceNow, Terraform, OpenTofu).
  • Experience in Kubernetes (NKP preferred) and NVIDIA AI Enterprise stacks (GPU Operator, DCGM, Triton).
  • Strong background in MLOps and capacity planning for complex data center environments.
  • Ability to enforce compliance with security standards and manage hardware provisioning effectively.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $156,000 and USD $310,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
