Job Description Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our Central Business Office by driving accurate financial reporting, supporting revenue cycle analytics, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a key role in advancing our company vision: to be the leading urology practice in the regions we serve-delivering excellent, effective, and full-service urologic care to our patients and communities.

In this role, you will support multiple entities, partner with physicians and operational leaders, assist with month-end close, and contribute to the financial strength of a growing healthcare organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Month-End & Financial Reporting

  • Support month-end close for multiple companies, including preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Review financial statements to ensure accurate accruals and expense classifications.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review the Financial Reporting Package for accuracy and completeness
Revenue & Statistical Analysis
  • Prepare revenue analysis schedules, including:
    • Cash-to-Net Revenue
    • Cash hindsight and trending
    • Closed Claim Rate Analysis
    • Contractual Adjustment Hindsight
    • Bad Debt Hindsight
    • Revenue Accrual Analysis
  • Track and post monthly key statistics.
  • Assist with physician compensation calculations and accruals.
Month-End & Financial Reporting
  • Support month-end close for multiple companies, including preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Review financial statements to ensure accurate accruals and expense classifications.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review the Financial Reporting Package for accuracy and completeness
CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of accounting practices including accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Knowledge of physician practice accounting
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Skill in computer applications in accounting, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Skill in use of a calculator
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial matters
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations and compute ratios and percentages
QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED
  • Four (4) year degree in accounting
  • At least three to five years of accounting experience
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL
  • Experience with Creative Solutions Accounting, Checkbook Solutions, Excel and Outlook software
  • Physician Practice accounting experience
  • Physician billing software experience
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
  • Four (4) year degree in accounting
  • At least three to five years of accounting experience, preferably in a health care organization.
Travel
  • This position is primarily hybrid remote.
  • Candidates located near Voorhees, NJ or Syracuse, NY may be asked to work onsite or attend in-office meetings on occasion.
  • Travel is minimal and typically scheduled in advance.
