Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for market outreach, candidate engagement, and recruitment conversion for the NUS Business School's suite of English-taught MBA programmes. Working in close integration with the Admissions team, the role bridges front-end recruitment activities and formal admissions processes to deliver a seamless, high-touch candidate experience from first enquiry through enrolment. This is a highly market-facing and candidate-centric role, with a strong focus on relationship-building, pipeline management, and yield outcomes. The incumbent works closely with the Digital Marketing team to inform content ideation and storytelling, support integrated marketing efforts across events and digital channels, and translate market and candidate insights into improved messaging, engagement, and conversion strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Market Outreach and Candidate Engagement

  • Lead front-end outreach and engagement for MBA programmes across key markets globally.
  • < candidates, providing guidance on programme value proposition, admissions criteria and timelines, scholarships and financing, and careerli>
  • Plan and deliver recruitment activities including information sessions, webinars, recruitment fairs, one-to-one consultations, and alumni, faculty, and student-led engagement initiatives.
  • Represent the MBA programmes professionally at outreach, recruitment, and partner events.

Recruitment Pipeline and Admissions Integration

  • Work closely with the Admissions team to manage the end-to-end candidate journey from enquiry to enrolment.
  • Advise candidates on application readiness and programme fit, and support admissions communications and processes.
  • Provide market and candidate insights to support holistic application evaluation and selection discussions.
  • Partner with Admissions to improve conversion, yield, and candidate quality, particularly in priority markets and profiles.
  • Proactively engage admitted candidates to support decision-making and improve enrolment outcomes.
  • Identify friction points in the candidate journey and collaborate with Admissions and Marketing colleagues to improve processes and messaging.

Marketing Collaboration and Lead Follow-Up

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team on lead generation and candidate nurturing, ensuring alignment between campaign messaging and recruitment conversations.
  • Contribute to content ideation and storytelling by identifying candidate-relevant themes, narratives, and insights across markets.
  • Collaborate with students, alumni, faculty, and other stakeholders to surface authentic stories and experiences that support programme positioning and recruitment objectives.
  • Support the development of marketing and recruitment materials for outreach and admissions-related engagement.
  • Share insights from candidate and admissions interactions to inform content priorities, messaging refinement, and outreach strategies.

Data, Reporting and Market Insights

  • Track and analyse recruitment and admissions performance indicators, including enquiry-to-application, application-to-offer, and offer-to-enrolment conversion, as well as market- and programme-level pipeline health.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to interpret the effectiveness of integrated marketing efforts across outreach events, candidate communications, website touchpoints, and digital campaigns.
  • Contribute insights to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement across the end-to-end candidate journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in CRM systems.
  • Provide regular insights on candidate motivations, objections, and decision drivers to inform recruitment, admissions, and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in recruitment, admissions, marketing outreach, or business development, preferably within higher education, postgraduate programmes, MBA or executive education, or other relationship-driven sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with senior professionals, executives and diverse stakeholder groups across cultures.
  • Demonstrated track record in planning and executing marketing activities across multiple channels, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Comfortable working with marketing and recruitment data to track performance, analyse outcomes and support continuous improvement in marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Self-motivated and well-organised, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, and Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Teams.
  • Experience in higher education, executive education or premium professional services will be an advantage.
