Our team is responsible for developing and executing on high-impact product partnership initiatives and strategies with our card network partners, such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express. This team's work is fundamental to driving Stripe's product strategy and delivering new capabilities to Stripe users, such as agentic commerce and stablecoin pilots.<br><strong><strong>What you'll do</strong></strong><br><br>We are looking for a new member to join our team to develop and execute on high-impact initiatives and strategies with our card network partners. As part of the role, you will work closely with Product to support the development of new capabilities for Stripe users and drive strategy for partnering with the card networks. This includes developing partner requirements, leading relationships with partners to execute on these requirements, and negotiating and managing critical projects with global partners to support our growing business.<br><br>The role will also require close coordination internally with cross-functional teams including Product as aforementioned plus Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Risk and externally with key partner stakeholders.<br><strong><strong>Responsibilities</strong></strong><br><ul><li>Drive new product partnership innovation with Stripe's most critical card network partners, with a focus on executing joint initiatives and launching new offerings that benefit Stripe users</li><li>Negotiate commercial agreements with card network partners that impact Stripe and its users' cost of payments acceptance</li><li>Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe's strategy </li><li>Influence both internal product teams and external stakeholders to modify or build innovative solutions that fit the modern day payments landscape and deliver more secure yet seamless merchant and consumer experiences</li><li>Gather inputs from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, engineering, treasury) to drive creation and execution of product partnership strategy</li><li>Reconcile competing priorities to drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal across multiple stakeholders</li><li>Ensure sound execution of day-to-day operations and adherence to risk and compliance obligations</li><li>Represent Stripe at partner and industry events, building close personal relationships with key partner stakeholders</li></ul><strong><strong>Who you are</strong></strong><br><br>We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.<br><strong><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></strong><br><ul><li>8+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development or related field</li><li>5+ years of experience related to payments or card networks</li><li>Thorough understanding of card network dynamics and business models</li><li>Broad and deep experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences and go to market models</li><li>Experience working in a product centric environments with significant internal and external dependencies</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally across a wide variety of functions, including at the C level</li></ul>
