About the position

This remote W-2 role is open only to candidates residing in US: South Dakota We are seeking a part-time Medical Transcriptionist to support physicians and clinical leadership by producing accurate, timely medical documentation under provider direction. This role is responsible for transcribing and managing physician dictation, identifying and correcting documentation discrepancies, maintaining dictation systems and templates, and ensuring medical records are complete and compliant. In addition to transcription duties, this position supports administrative and scheduling updates, tracks outstanding dictations, and collaborates with providers and leadership to maintain efficient clinical workflows. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong medical terminology knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), effective communication skills, and excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Formal medical secretarial training or coursework with a strong medical terminology background
  • Prior experience in medical transcription or a related medical administrative role, with demonstrated accuracy in medical documentation
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • AHA CPR certification required (may be obtained upon hire)
