Job Description: As part of the Mars people strategy priorities, we have recognized the role that Digital plays in operating our business of today, but also how much it could impact how we will operate tomorrow. We need to anticipate of the evolution of our operating model, capability model and work design connected to these new and emerging technologies such as Gen AI to ensure we enable Mars and all our associates to take advantage of this technology advancements. The VP of P&O - Digital Transformation will be part of the the digital reinvention initiative to deliver both productivity and value from digital, strengthen the DT function across segments in key areas such as: portfolio management capabilities, our operating model , data/analytics/AI, digital foundations and the skills of our Mars Associates (incl DT) in digital. More specifically, in this role, you will be leading the people agenda for the digital reinvention initiative built around 4 pillars: 1 - Defining the Digital technologies operating model at Mars, and coordinating its deployment across all segments to support the digitalization agenda of the respective businesses, while leveraging scale of Mars. 2 - leading the digital capability building agenda for Mars and digital teams in AI and emerging technologies to enable teams across segments to leverage and benefit from these new capabilities in support of our growth agenda. 3 - orchestrating and leading the talent strategy across segments for the digital technologies function. This will include leading the effort in strategic workforce planning for digital in partnership with Talent COE, through assessing how emerging technologies will shape future roles and capabilities needed. 4 - Building the P&O digital community in support of the total people agenda, enabling to accelerate the digital P&O capability building agenda in collaboration with Mars University. Key Responsibilities include • Strategic Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and digital leaders, aligning the people agenda with the digital transformation strategy. • Digital Teams Operating Model: Lead the design, definition, and deployment of the digital teams operating model in partnership with all segments, ensuring it is fit for purpose and supports agile, cross-functional ways of working. • Capabilities Development: Define and execute the digital capabilities development agenda for the entire organization with regards to AI and emerging technologies, with a special focus on IT teams. • Talent Pipeline & Leadership Development: Drive the identification, development, and succession planning of leadership talent within digital teams, ensuring a robust pipeline for future growth. • Change Management: Anticipate internal and external business challenges, regulatory issues, and industry trends; recommend and implement process, product, or service improvements to support digital transformation. • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve key milestones and objectives related to digital transformation and talent initiatives, such as strategic workforce planning for digital. • Organizational Effectiveness and P&O Community engagement: Drive efficiency and effectiveness across the P&O operating model, and lead the coordination of P&O activities across all segments in the digital space to ensure we are maximizing impact and effectiveness of the operating model. • One Mars Culture: Promote a unified, inclusive environment that delivers P&O programming and support for all Associates and Line Managers across digital and IT functions. What You'll Bring • Widely recognized as an expert in P&O/HR, with a proven track record of leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. • Deep understanding of digital transformation, IT operating models, and the evolving capabilities required for success in a digital-first organization. • Experience in designing and deploying talent and leadership development programs, particularly for digital and technology teams. • Strong business acumen, with the ability to anticipate challenges, solve unique and complex problems, and influence at all levels of the organization. • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a complex, matrixed environment. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
