Role Overview You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end operational management of the Group’s vessels (owned and chartered‑in), ensuring safe, efficient, and commercially optimized voyages.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong coordination with internal teams, ship managers, agents, terminals, and counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize daily operations of all Group vessels
  • Monitor vessel movements, ETAs, voyage progress, and operational performance
  • Prepare and issue voyage orders and manage voyage execution
  • Optimize cargo loadable and review stowage plans (single and multi‑grade cargoes)
  • Liaise with agents and terminals to meet port requirements and ensure fast turnaround
  • Negotiate agency fees and manage port disbursements (PDA and final DA)
  • Manage bunker requirements, negotiate stem terms, and monitor fuel performance
  • Ensure timely preparation and issuance of freight invoices
  • Review and ensure accuracy of Bills of Lading, LOIs, and shipping documents
  • Monitor L/C status and ensure required LOIs are secured prior to cargo release
  • Perform post‑fixture calculations and voyage performance analysis
  • Support traders with port intelligence, data collation, and shipment planning
  • Track vessel performance, including TC vessels and performance claims
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with port authorities and counterparts
  • Handle ad‑hoc operational tasks as required
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Shipping, Logistics, Commerce, or related fields
  • Relevant shipping operations experience
  • (Palm oil, tanker, or chemical cargo experience preferred)
  • Solid working knowledge of shipping operations and documentation
  • Familiarity with Shipnet, IMOS, or other voyage management systems
  • Strong problem‑solving, numerical, and commercial acumen
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work across stakeholders
  • Results‑driven, proactive, and performance‑oriented mindset
