Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops new and modified computer systems specifications and information processing solutions that address business requirements and that fit with Spirit Aerosystems internal and external system architecture requirements and standards
  • Initiates projects by participating in planning and implementation activities such as work/organization breakdown structure development and responsibility assignment matrix development
  • Revises, maintains, and tests existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, input/output requirements, conversion, and storage
  • Develops and monitors project progression in order to control costs, ensure effective allocation of work, and evaluate and resolve (or elevate to management as needed) disputes in order to ensure compliance with company standards and policies as well as contractual and regulatory mandates

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Wichita, KS location.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years of related experience
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and/or Special Program Access
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical or business field
  • IT, Business, or Project Management background
  • Experience providing technical services to end users
  • Exceptional communication skills

Summary Pay Range - Associate (Level 2): $60,650 - $93,000

Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $75,800 - $116,200

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
