Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

We are looking for an M&A Associate based in Madrid or Sevilla to give support to our projects globally.

What will you help with?

· Support M&A transactions across multiple geographies.

· Update M&A pipeline and deal status in internal reporting tools.

· Conduct financial modeling and valuation analysis to support potential acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures.

· Build and review financial models to support investment and divestment decisions.

· Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentation materials for internal Committees and senior management.

· Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders

· Participate in the due diligence process, coordinating with external advisers (financial, legal, tax, and technical).

· Analyze market trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitive dynamics in the renewable energy sector.

· Collaborate with internal teams (Project Finance, Development, Engineering, and Legal) to assess transaction feasibility and risk.

· Monitor and support post-closing activities, ensuring the integration of acquired assets or divestment follow-up.

· Contribute to strategic initiatives, including partnerships, joint ventures, and other corporate development activities.

Who you are:

· Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering. MBA will be a plus.

· Based in Madrid or Sevilla.

· 3-6 years of proven experience in similar roles (in the renewable energy sector).

· Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

· Solid understanding of valuation techniques, financial statements, and deal structuring.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Spanish and English.

· Proven analytical and mathematical capabilities.

· Critical thinking and presentation skills.

· High degree of attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
