THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE SCIB is looking for a M&A Analyst (Energy) based out of Luca de Tena Office (Madrid) We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for: Building and reviewing detailed financial models, including operating models, DCFs, merger and accretion / dilution analyses, valuation frameworks, and sensitivities Performing valuation work using DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions and other relevant sector-specific approaches Preparing high-quality client materials, including pitch books, strategic reviews, management presentations, information memoranda, board materials and internal approval documents Supporting live transaction execution across M&A and IPO processes, including due diligence coordination, workstream management and interaction with internal and external stakeholders Conducting detailed sector, company, investor and transaction analysis across the EMEA energy and energy transition space Monitoring market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes and investor activity across key sub-sectors Supporting senior bankers on client dialogue, strategic analysis and origination ideas WHAT YOU’LL BRING Our people are our greatest strength.

Professional

Experience 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A, ECM / IPO advisory or a similar transaction environment Strong execution experience on live transactions and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure Strong interest in, and ideally prior exposure to, the energy, power, utilities, infrastructure and/or energy transition sectors in EMEA (Preferred) Education Undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record Languages Fluency in English Additional European languages (Preferred) Hard Skills Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with a strong grasp of accounting and corporate finance fundamentals Proven ability to produce high-quality client-facing materials, with excellent attention to detail and quality control Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, Refinitiv, Mergermarket, Infralogic or similar tools (Preferred) Soft Skills Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT Your contribution matters, and it’s recognized.
