<p>The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next easier and more enjoyable for every listener. Our goal is to build and surface the best listening experiences that connect fans and creators in a personal and relevant way. We are looking for someone that already has the level of experience managing a team of engineering managers and product scope of a similar magnitude.</p><p><br></p><p>This role will be the GM for our Surfaces Studio and is accountable for end-to-end vision, execution, and business impact across Home and PZN Strategic Programming—balancing user value, creator outcomes, and company goals at scale. In particular, our Homepage is the flagship of the Spotify app, surfacing the best of what Spotify has to offer, including music and podcasts for every situation, personalized playlists, new releases, old favorites, and undiscovered gems.</p> <p></p><p><br></p><b>What You'll Do</b><ul><li>Build, grow, and lead a Studio of dedicated engineers, data scientists and product managers fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where technical excellence thrives. Our engineers are spread out around the globe with concentrations on the East Coast and Europe.</li><li>Define, own and execute on a multi-year strategy for Spotify’s Home Page.</li><li>Be the front line of many of the Company Bets and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, aligning on strategy, vision, and execution to achieve company-wide goals.</li><li>Hold teams accountable for shipping high-quality, measurable outcomes – and ruthlessly prioritize to ensure the team is focused on the right work.</li><li>Define, track, and report metrics and KPIs that measure the success and impact.</li><li>Ensure the health, resilience, and growth of your teams, cultivating a high-performance, but supportive, culture that drives happiness, growth, engagement, and innovation.</li><li>We ask that our team members be physically located in Central European time or Eastern Standard/Daylight time zones for the purposes of our collaboration hours.</li></ul><p><br></p><b>Who You Are </b><ul><li>You have 15+ years of experience leading and managing large-scale technical teams to deliver impactful, well-loved, robust and scalable software solutions.</li><li>You possess excellent instincts paired with deep analytical thinking, enabling you to prioritize effectively and make critical, data-driven decisions.</li><li>You thrive in rapidly evolving landscapes, bringing clarity and focus to ambiguity while inspiring your teams to innovate and excel.</li><li>You are adept at translating complex technical concepts into simple, actionable strategies and can effectively guide teams through challenging scenarios.</li><li>You are passionate about creating user-centered solutions, partnering closely with product, design, and insights teams to bring transformative AI innovations to life.</li><li>You are a skilled communicator, comfortable engaging with diverse collaborators including everyone from our interns to CEO and aligning them around a shared vision.</li><li>You have a strong track record of defining technical and product strategies, gaining leadership agreement, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering user-facing value for multi-million user products.</li><li>You have hands-on experience with AI, Machine Learning and Personalization,, with demonstrated success in achieving measurable business impact.</li></ul><p><br></p><b>Where You'll Be </b><ul><li>We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best!
