The Business Systems Team are responsible for the design, delivery, and management of these key business applications.

Softcat is embarking on a multi-year Sales Systems Replacement programme utilising Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE), PROS Smart CPQ, and the Copilot platform. The programme is currently in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution stage for Phase 1, while requirements gathering and analysis for Phase 2 are underway in parallel with delivery activities. We require a Business Systems Analyst to take responsibility for gathering, analysing, documenting, and managing business requirements across the full lifecycle of the programme — from initial scoping and discovery through to detailed requirements definition, build support, and test phases.

As the Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and partners to elicit and document their Sales/CRM requirements.
  • Create clear and detailed business and functional requirement documents (BRDs/FRDs)
  • Develop process flow diagrams, use cases, and other visual aids to illustrate requirements
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Collaborate with solution architects and designers to develop the Sales system's functional design
  • Participate in test planning and work with the Test Lead to coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT
  • dentify potential risks and issues related to Sales system replacement and propose mitigation
  • We'd love you to have:

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
  • o Knowledge and experience of Customer Management

    o Experience of working with 3rd party partners

    o Experience with delivering large, platform solutions etc potentially with a partner/system integrator.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You must be able to clearly elicit and articulate requirements from a combination of different sources of information and document them in a manner appropriate for the purpose and audience.
  • A proactive, can-do approach and a willingness to learn from or share best practice experience with the team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
