POV: You’re an Associate Social Media Producer for @disneyparks. It’s 10am - phone, mic, light in hand - as you step onto Main Street, U.S.A. From characters-turned-companions to memory‑making moments, the Disney Experiences (DX) content team captures the magic that brings joy to fans every day.

As an Associate Social Media Producer, you will be one of the content creators on the Creative Strategy and Content team, contributing to social video productions that meet business objectives set by the Communications & Public Affairs organization. In this role, you will craft compelling visual content, guided by audience relevancy as the key benchmark for success.

The ideal candidate thrives in an agile and collaborative environment, approaching work with restless curiosity, relentless ambition, and an ability to build meaningful relationships. You are passionate about the Disney brand and have experience with all aspects of social media. Avid use of various social platforms is required for this role. Experience in gaming and fluency in industry fan communities is a big bonus. 

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to a team that is nimble, creative, optimistic, disruptive, and collaborative. 
  • Assist in managing content projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, consistency, and creative that breaks through the noise. 
  • Develop creative concepts and scripts for video and/or photography. 
  • Create content with tenacity – inclusive of capturing, editing and posting within a very tight production timeframe. 
  • Key contributor to on-site content shoots, assisting with filming and/or photography, lighting, audio, and crew coordination. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and contribute ideas. 
  • Responsible for time management; documenting project hours and flagging concerns to team lead(s). 
  • Help organize and maintain library of assets. 
  • Brainstorm and develop original content concepts that are both timely and evergreen that align with brand, product and business priorities as well as trends in social media and visual communications. 
  • Exercise discretion with assigned projects and professional acumen in every interaction. 
  • Demonstrate innovation, creativity, and thoughtful integration through all work.   
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and platforms, to better develop creative and innovative content strategies and campaigns. Platforms include, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity or experience with production and postproduction in video and/or photography. 
  • Experience in social media, content production and/or related digital marketing. 
  • Demonstrated ability to edit video (photography a plus).
  • Experience with visual storytelling, and producing compelling and engaging social content. 
  • Demonstrate strong creative, original and outside the box thinking. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a group as well as independently with little supervision. 
  • Clear POV and direction on concepts and creative, while remaining flexible and thoughtful with feedback and revisions. 
  • An affinity for the Disney Brand.
  • Solution-oriented perspective that manages change well. 
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work within a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with gaming communities, livestream formats, and gameplay driven storytelling is a plus!
  • Professional content creation experience.
  • Can formulate a point of view and clearly articulate it. 
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere, After Effects). 
  • Broad understanding of the role of social media in society today and its application to business. 
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization. 
  • Experience with using and writing social copy for various social media platforms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media KPIs.

The hiring range for this position in California is $65,300.00 to $87,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
